The Firehouse is an authorized
dealer for many Wood Stove
manufactures. We carry an in
store inventory of wood stoves and
components.
We also accept special order wood
stove parts orders.
Wood stoves are extremely efficient.
The heat produced increases the
temperature of the Steel box
surrounding the enclosed fire box.
They create heat based off the
embers. Thus, a few logs
produce intense heat, and last
longer. They are much safer than
fireplaces, because they are self
contained, and have a closed door.
Flames and sparks are contained
within the closed system.
Wood Stoves come in a
variety of configurations. We carry
open free standing stoves and
inserts.
One option often
overlooked, is a Wood Stove Fire
Place Insert. It fits inside
your existing fireplace. A stainless
steel flex tube is inserted down the
existing chimney, and attached to
the stove vent.
The chimney is
capped off and sealed with a
stainless steel vent cap, specially
engineered for stove inserts. Your
old chimney cap is then placed over
the new cap. They come in wood
burning, wood pellet burning and
Gas.
We offer Wood Stove and component
Installation and repair.
We carry
Fire Place tools, shovels, brooms,
and decor.
We also build out door
fire pits.
Question: I have
heard burning wood in a fireplace
causes or adds to pollution.
Wood is Carbon
Neutral
As trees grow they
absorb carbon dioxide from the
atmosphere.
When trees die and are left to
decompose in the
forest or burn in forest fires the
carbon stored in the trees is
released in the atmosphere as carbon
dioxide.
Burning firewood produces the same
amount of carbon dioxide
as it has absorbed during its life
cycle - making wood
burning carbon neutral.
